For "Tale of Murasaki",I didn't read it yet but I heard good things about it!
Do you recommend it?
otherwise,I've read "The Pillow Book" by Sei Shonagon,in french of course...I really loved it even if I felt lost sometimes with the numerous characters,titles and look-alike names that confused me(because of the french translation??)
But it's really an unforgettable piece of litterature
